In this review I will go into why I love this mask and all of its great features. As soon as I progressed from hand painting my models/tiles to using an airbrush which I wrote a whole review on if you are interested? I knew that I would need a better form of protection when I was using the airbrush. I knew that the thinners and paints I was using could be fatal over time and needed to invest in a mask that would handle all I was going to throw at it! After a ton of research (because that’s me!) I came across the Rhino RH-RS101 mask (see image below) The mask fitted all my needs and was well priced to boot! I will go into the features below.

Features

SAFETY: The RHINO face cover is really comfortable with the system of particle filters capable of blocking almost 100% of organic gases, smoke, dust, pollen and other particles in the air. Cotton filters and cartridges are replaceable to give a long working life. The mask also comes with a spare set of filters which I really appreciate!

The silicone face part fits to any face shape and adapts to the facial shape to produce the seal thanks to the elastic headband to place it on the head and behind the neck. The filters provide comfortable breathing, it will appear that you are not wearing it!

The RHINO safety face cover offers effective protection against paint, construction, chemicals, sanding, polishing, odor control, etc.

Putting the mask on

The mask is easy to take on and off and provides a full face seal so you are fully protected when wearing. The filters come unattached in the box and are easy to fit (see images below) I put the silicone face seal on first then the lower neck band. I finish by bringing the top head strap over my head so it rests on the crown of my head for a comfortable fit you can also adjust the head band to suit you.

Conclusion

I love this mask and have been using it now for around 6 months with no sign of wear and the spare filters still not used I would highly recommend this mask. You can also use it around the house for any DIY tasks that may require you to have a mask which is really handy. Even after extended periods of wearing the mask it was still comfortable and I can never smell the toxic fumes from any of the chemicals I use in my work! So if you are in the market for a multifunctional protective mask, look no further!

    Hi.
I’ve found this review of the mask I also have.
Bought it some time ago and used it for some photography project that used ammonia. Worked well for that. I agree that it is comfortable mask to wear. However, I’d like to ask you some questions as I’m not an expert on respirators and masks. As for the filters, they have expiry date. Does it mean that I should replace them after they expire or it depends on usage? Is it carbon filter? How do you know it is time to replace it? You start to smell chemicals through the mask? As they say on the box, combined with instruction, I believe it is AP1 filter class, which is not rated to deal with ammonia, but I couldn’t smell any ammonia when used against the ammonia vapours. Many thanks. Grzegorz
